Gap cover has gained popularity as more people recognise how vital it is. It is insurance for the shortfall between what the medical aid pays for and what the health care professional charges. Important to note is that this type of insurance is not a medical aid, but that it covers you for certain medical procedures or services that medical aid either does not cover at all or does not cover fully.
